Ray Palmer was the second individual to carry the mantle of The Atom, a physics professor who developed the Quantum Bio-Belt to shrink himself to subatomic levels while retaining full strength and speed.

Games

Ray Palmer's incarnation of The Atom appears in the background of an Injustice: Gods Among Us (2013) stage. He is seen near a computer. He is also playable in a S.T.A.R. Labs mission.

Ray's protégé, Ryan Choi, appears as The Atom in the sequel Injustice 2 (2017), as DLC and the first character in Fighter Pack 3. He appears with an updated, armored suit.

Biography

Injustice 2 Comic

Ray Palmer makes an appearance as one of Batman's allies after the fall of the Regime. Joining Batman during the defense of Stryker Island, he enters Superman's brain after he breaks out of the cell. Armed with a Kryptonite shard, Atom proceeds to knock out Superman using the shard. He also appeared later when he saved Harley Quinn by defusing the bomb planted inside her head.

When Amazo instigated attacks over Dehli, India to wipe out human population, as planned by Ra's al Ghul, the heroes found Amazo destroying the populated areas of the city, they intervened and attempted to stop Amazo but all failed with Batman unable to find a weakness in the android, labelling the android as "perfect". Palmer shrinks in size to enter inside Amazo via its nostrils, Palmer informs Batman that the brain of the android has a weird 3-dots symbol, only for the nanites to defend Amazo's brain. Palmer tries to flee but one of the nanites severs his leg, Batman could listen his friend die inside Amazo's brain.

  • Although the original Atom, Al Pratt, who was the godfather of Atom Smasher, did not appear in any Injustice media thus far, he is briefly mentioned by Jay Garrick in Injustice 2.
