Matthew Mercer is an American anime voice actor born in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, USA. He is mostly known for voicing characters such as Chrom in the Fire Emblem series, Cor Leonis in Final Fantasy XV, Kanji Tatsumi in the Persona series , McCree in Overwatch, Leon S. Kennedy in the newer Resident Evil titlles, Alvin in the Tales of Xillia series, Yamato in Naruto, Levi in Attack on Titan, Jotaro Kujo in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, and Kiritsugu Emiya in the Fate/ franchise.

Aside from voice acting, Mercer is known for hosting the show Critical Role a show in which voice actors take part in an ongoing game of Dungeons & Dragons where Mercer assumes the role of the Dungeon Keeper. Fellow Injustice 2 voice actors, Laura Bailey, Travis Willingham, Taliesin Jaffe, and Liam O'Brien are also members of the show's cast.

Mercer will be providing the voice for Deadshot in Injustice 2 which is going to be his first performance as the character.

In the video game world, he also played Anarky in Batman: Arkham Origins as well as Tim Drake in Batman: Arkham Knight. In western animation, he voiced Hellhound and Chuckie Sol in Batman: Bad Blood as well as Ice Pick Joe in Beware the Batman.

Trivia

• Mercer previously voiced Stryker in NetherRealm Studios' 2011 title Mortal Kombat. Deadshot in Injustice 2 marks his second role in an NRS title.
