In an interview with Superherohype.com, he stated that Injustice is basically the "NetherRealm spin on the DC universe."
Having worked on the crossover game, Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe (2008), he felt that the expectations of it being a Mortal Kombat game weighed it down in public reception.
