Galius Zed is the Green Lantern of Sector 1123.

Biography

Galius Zed was an alien and one of the more outspoken members of the Green Lantern Corps. This quick-tempered and outspoken member of the Corps is always first to volunteer for a mission. His teammates are inspired by his passion and determination in battle.

Injustice Comic

Galius makes his first appearance in the eighth chapter of the Year Two comic series. He is among the thousands of Green Lanterns recalled to Oa and one of the Lanterns making up the squad dispatched to Earth to apprehend Superman for trial.

Galius arrives on Earth in chapter nine along with the rest of Kilowog's team and confronts Superman. Before they can do anything Galius and the rest of the Lanterns are caught in a blast from the Watchtower fired by Cyborg.

After surviving the beam in chapter ten, Galius battles with Shazam and Hawkgirl, aiding in subduing and capturing them before Kilowog and Ch'p take out Superman. Galius would then witness Sinestro's return and murder of Ch'p.

In chapter eleven, Galius is among the many Lanterns attempting to subdue Sinestro, but he is harshly repelled by the former Green Lantern's yellow weapon constructs. Galius and the rest of his fellow teammates are soon surrounded by the rest of Sinestro's Corps after Superman refuses Kilowog's request for a ceasefire and retreat.

In the next chapter, Galius surrenders his ring and allows himself to be taken as a prisoner of war on Earth on Kilowog's order, sparing himself death at the hands of the Sinestro Corps. Galius' final fate has not been revealed.

Appearance

Galius is distinguished from other Lanterns by his over-sized cranium which comprised the bulk of his body mass and he dies not possess a chest or abdominal area and his arms and legs extended directly from his head. He also had a third leg which protrudes from the back of his enormous head. His uniform covers his entire body, with the corps insignia on his forehead.
