Deadman was a ghostly adventurer and superhero. He is one of the supernatural beings who assisted in John Constantine's mission to stop Superman.

Biography[]

Deadman, also known as Boston Brand, is a supernatural superhero and a ghost. Murdered by an assassin, his spirit haunts the mortal realm bringing justice to those who deserve it. Although he cannot directly interact with the physical world, he can possess the bodies of the living and control them towards his own ends. Brand received his powers from Rama Kushna and spends his spare time in Nanda Parbat. He has been a member of the Sentinels of Magic, the Seven Soldiers of Victory, and the Justice League Dark.

Injustice Comic[]

Year Three[]

Deadman debuts in the sixth chapter of Year Three, appearing in part of a prophecy foretold by Madame Xanadu. After attempting to possess Shazam, the Spectre separates him from the boy, where Deadman demands to have a conversation with Jim Corrigan. Realizing that Corrigan is not present, the Spectre slashes him with the Sword of Vengeance, causing his essence to leak out.

Fleeing back to Nanda Parbat, Deadman pleas the Kushna to restore him, but was unable to do so, causing him to transfer his powers to Dick Grayson, eventually becoming his successor.

Appearance[]

Deadman wears a red circus performer's costume with a stylized 'D' on the stomach and high collar, with the flesh of his head being a deathly pale white to reflect his ghostly status.
