General Injustice Discussion
Which third-party characters would you choose to join Injustice 3?
If you've read the comics, you'd know that Batman is now Etrigan's host. However, this story has seemingly stopped right there. If this plot was expanded upon, how could this translate into Injustice 3? It seems Batman can keep Etrigan at bay for now, but for how much longer?
Hello, here I will post my predictions on who will die (if anyone) in the third Injustice game.
Feel free to post your predictions, as well.
The first character I predict will die is Lois Lane...again. I think Lois may return as an NPC Black Lantern, and Superman will be forced to kill her in order to free her. Doing this may pave the road for his redemption in Injustice 4 (if he's not redeemed in this one).
The second character I predict may die is Brainiac (Determinant). I think Netherrealm will shock us and BOTH endings in the end of I2 will be valid, and the choice will carry over into this game, and the game will begin based on which ending you chose. If Brainiac was spared in last game (Absolute Justice) then he will die in this game.
The third character I predict will die is John Constantine...for now. I think Constantine will be featured in this game just based on the high demand for him. I think he will die in this game BUT he and Doctor Fate will be revived in the time jump between INJ3 and INJ4.
The fourth and final character I predict will die is Cyborg OR Nightwing (Determinant). Either Victor or Damian will die in the ending based on who you side with, however, it won't be a Batman vs Superman (again), instead two different characters, potentially Supergirl and someone else.
The primary reason I think Nekron needs to be the villain of Injustice 3 is so that he can ressurect any characters who are deceased and either give them spots in Injustice 3's roster, or allow their stories to continue in the comics. Here's a link to the list of deceased characters and I want to know which of these you think should be in Injustice 3's roster, and who should be present in the comics. https://injustice.wikia.com/wiki/Category:Deceased?sort=alphabetical&display=exhibition

Is anyone interested in forming Marvel's own fighting game like Injustice?
I like for my story to be a "Flashpoint" story where Spider-Man goes back in time to save his Uncle Ben from death.
I was thinking for Injustice 3, they should go into the darker corners of the DC Universe, and have the watchmen appear in this universe as a 3rd story option, attempting to take down both sides of the debate.
Imagine if Maxwell from scribblenauts got involved into injustice (somehow)...
What will the story be
How would you make a Marvel version of Injustice?
Perhaps Peter Parker uses Thanos' time stone to go back in time to save his Uncle Ben and he causes a "Flashpoint" of his world.
Who would you have in the roster?
I'm certain you've seen the trailers and know that the TMNT are now Injustice Guest characters. And I'm sure a good chunk of you have reacted like this. "WTF are a bunch of kids show mutant freaks doing in an Injustice game?!" Well clearly you never did your heavy research. The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, contrary to popular belief were NEVER created as cartoon characters. They are in fact comic book characters. Created years before the cartoon, the original comics were darker, more violant and even sexually suggestive at times.
The comics got popular enough that it could start merchandising, and one the merchandise the creators(Peter Liard and Kevin Eastman) wanted was an action figure deal. So they approached Playmates for one but the company was skeptical. They said they would be willing to do it IF Liard and Eastman could strike a cartoon deal, and that's when the original 80's cartoon was born, but it was dratically changed to be more kid friendly. Despite it's huge success, Eastman and Liard were not fond of the cartoon despite creating a few of the original characters for it such as Beebop and Rocksteady. And ever since then, Eastman and Liard's original concept for the Ninja Turtles has lingered in the 80's cartoons shadow.
So perhaps it might be justified if the Ninja Turtles were present in Injustice 2. In recent years, some versions of Ninja Turtles have had more Comic Bool elements added in, but even so the 80's cartoon still leaves it's mark. If I could have my way I'd make it so that there would be NO 80's cartoon elements in the turtles in Injustice 2 and focus solely on Eastman and Liard's original comics(Which were more like Sin City than a cartoon.) But alas it seems that is not going to be the case, since their still bringing in silly voices that just have all those awful catchphrases written all over it.
If Injustice 3 were to be made, Lois Lane should be brought back as a Black Lantern. This can be a chance for Clark/Superman to get redemption for the things he's done over the years.
The Joker could be brought back as a Black Lantern too if possible.
What other characters can join its roster? Picture a mix of heroes & villains in Black & White Lanterns.
Story
Brianiac's invsion of Earth has caused much death and destruction, and despite the surviving heroes taking part in relief efforts, problems closer to home continue in the form of crime and smaller scale supervillains. Supergirl has taken Superman's place in the Justice League and is attempting to make the symbol of the House of El a symbol of goodness again. But she faces problems as well.
With Metropolis and Coast City gone forever, the country is in a state of economic decline. Kara has suggested that Kandor and Argo City replace Metropolis and Coast City, which could restore the economy and save what's left of her people in a single move. Needless to say this is not without controversy. Many fear that if the Kryptonians of those cities were allowed into Earth, there would be whole armies of supermen and women, and not everyone is comfortable with Kryptonians.
But the worst is yet to come, for a great darkness is being cast on Earth once again. His name is Nekron, and Earth is ripe for harvest, not for knowledge, but for the dead. Nekron is the leader of the Black Lanterns, who believe that since the universe was originally a place of darkness and death, light and life are perversions. He has sent Black Power Rings to ressurect many fallen heroes and villains.
Returning Characters
Any character in previous games except Superman has the potential to return. The reason I'm excluding Superman is because bringing him back could result in another Batman vs Superman ending and I don't want Injustice 3 to feel to similar to past games. Any character who is currently deceased will be ressurected as a Black Lantern, be they in the roster or juat have a cameo appearence.
New Characters
Some of the mirror characters(Vixen, Mr. Freeze, etc) I know this is cheating a bit, but since the movesets of these characters were originally intended for other characters, it feels a bit stale playing as them. They need their own movesets, not just copies of someone else's. In terms of story, Vixen tries to make peace with both the Green and Red in order to fight Nekron, while Mr Freeze battles Nekron because he plans on turning Nora into a Black Lantern.
St. Walker: St. Walker of the Blue Lanterns has been sent to Earth to aid in the relief effort, and give the people of Earth hope again. But when Nekron attacks, Walker must reluctantly resort to combat to maintain hope.
Jonah Hex: Ressurected as a Black Lantern, Hex has been hunting down descendents of his enemies.
Man-Bat: Even with Amanda Waller deceased, the government has found use for the Suicide Squad, especially with the Black Lantern. Man-Bat has been imbued with a special chip that forces him to obey orders like a dog obeying a humans commands.
Killer Croc: Similar story to Man-Bat, except he has a normal chip since he's not really feral
Princess Amethyst: While most of the Lords of Order were in favor of allowing Brainiac to destroy Earth, Amethyst was appalled by this choice, but when he fellow lords refused to listen or change after Brainiac's defeat, and refuse to aid in Nekron's attack, Amethyst declared that the Lords were responsible for Fate's death, and said that if their "precious laws" bound them to inaction, she would no longer stand with them. She renounced her status as a Lord of Order and left to help the heroes against Nekron.
Black Manta: After the fall of the Regime, Black Manta tried living a normal life, but when Aquaman resurfaced in Braniac's attack, Manta has left his new life to continue his quest to slay his archenemy. Manta believes that Aquaman and Atlantis are now vulnerable to him, but Nekron has his own plans for Manta... after he kills him.
Wondergirl: Donna Troy became the Queen of the Amazons after the regime fall. Durring Braniac's invasion, she was unable to send aid to the heroes because Braniac also attacked Themyscira and digitized it. The island was restored after Braniac's defeat, and Donna wants nothing more then for the Amazons to be seen a heroines once again.
That's all I have for now. if you have ideas, post them.
Injustice 1 did a decent job of allowing gamers to sympathize more with Batman's faction. Superman's fall was a tragic story, but in the end, we fought on Batman's side and most gamers agree with that. However, in Injustice 2, we lost Metropolis and Coast city and Dr. Fate. Metropolis was rebuilt after Lois died since ruins remain, but now there's nothing left of Metropolis, meaning that one of the worst fears of the DC heroes has been realized, a major DC universe city is lost forever.
Now, I hate to criticize humanity, but in real life, when terrible things happen and people experience them, or are victems to them, they tend to start thinking very much like Superman now thinks. Just look at all the anti-muslim hatred that came after 9/11? What I'm asking is, who did you agree with in Injustice 2? In 1, we never see Lois die or metropolis be destroyed so we never feel the full pain that Superman does. But now something worse has happened, and we see it all.
Do you now agree that Superman is right? Or are you still with team Batman?
Me personally, I'm still on team Batman. As much as I can sympathize and even understand Superman's views, the sad truth is no one can save everyone, and in war, losses and sacrifices are innevitable. After WW2, America celebrated, but there were countless thousands of American people who mourned the loss of their husband, father, brother, uncle or cousin because they did not live to see victory. This is one of the reasons I prefer DC over Marvel. It shows more realistic consequences as a result of actions.
Do you agree? If not, feel free to share.
Once you guys have Injustice 2 and played it and saw the endings, post here on what you'll see in the next game.
After updated to 2.3, it seems Challenge reset automatically
